At many large implant chains, your case passes through a coordinator, a planner, and a rotating surgeon — often three different people before the procedure even begins.
We do it differently. Every implant here is planned and placed by one person — Dr. Lance Timmerman, an experienced implant dentist with 20+ years of placement experience who handles the cases that involve bone loss, complex anatomy, and full-arch grafting.
Recognized as a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology — one of implant dentistry's most respected credentialing bodies. The credential that matters most: he's the dentist who picks up the phone when you have a question after surgery.
We're not a corporate chain — no marketing department, no investor markup, no rotating staff. The result: lower overhead, optimized workflows, and fees that are typically thousands less than the big names — without compromising the surgical quality you'd expect from an experienced implant-focused dentist.
| Feature | South Seattle Smiles | Chain "implant centers" |
|---|---|---|
| Who places your implant | ICOI Fellow · 20+ yrs implants | Rotating GP |
| Same surgeon, every visit | Different team each time | |
| Same-day fixed teeth | Walk out with new teeth | Sometimes |
| All-inclusive pricing | Quoted in writing | "Starting at" pricing |
| Typical full-arch fee single arch | $14,997–$21,997all-inclusive | $25,000–$35,000+"starting at" |
| IV sedation included | Standard on full-arch | Varies by location |
| Accepts complex cases | Experienced with bone loss & grafting | Volume model — easier cases preferred |
| Direct line to your surgeon | Direct to Dr. Timmerman | Through call center |
Why the gap? Owner-operated practices don't carry corporate overhead, marketing departments, or investor returns. Optimized in-house workflows + a single accountable surgeon = thousands off the same scope of care, placed personally by a experienced implant-focused dentist. Better results. Lower fees.

You walk in with the smile you've been hiding. You walk out, the same afternoon, with one you'll show off.
Morning. Your old teeth come out. Implants go in. Your new fixed teeth are screwed in place. By the time you leave the chair, you have a smile you can eat dinner with — that night.
Three months. While the implants integrate with your bone (helped along by PRF drawn from your own blood), you live with a fully fixed provisional. Most patients tell us they forget it's even temporary.
Final visit. The provisional comes off, your custom zirconia teeth go on. Built to last a lifetime.
Some implant cases need more than routine placement — bone loss, long-term denture wear, complex anatomy. These are the cases that need an experienced implant dentist who can handle the rebuild work in-house.
That's exactly what Dr. Timmerman is trained for: bone grafting, soft-tissue grafting, sinus lifts, PRF support, zygomatic implants, and complex full-arch reconstruction. With 20+ years of implant experience and ICOI fellowship training, he handles these cases personally — no outside referrals.
You're not too far gone. You're exactly the case 20+ years of implant experience is built for.

Dr. Lance Timmerman has practiced comprehensive and family dentistry since 1998. Born and raised just up the road in Kirkland, he built his Tukwila practice on the same idea: that great dental care is part craft, part science, part attention. He's a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology — one of implant dentistry's most respected credentialing bodies — and he places every implant himself, in-house. From single-tooth replacements to full-arch reconstructions and zygomatic cases, Dr. Timmerman handles the diagnosis, the planning, and the surgery — start to finish.
He built his practice in Tukwila so the surgical care — diagnosis, implant placement, and the prosthetic plan — could happen under one roof, by one dentist who knows the case from the first scan to the final smile.
Implant cases — especially complex ones — call for serious experience. Dr. Timmerman has been placing implants for 20+ years and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Implants are what he does — every day, in-house.

Tukwila · serving Seattle metro"All on x dental implant procedure… Dr. Timmerman and his staff changed my life. My whole experience was nothing short of amazing. Holly from day one was completely upfront and helpful through the whole 6 month procedure, always friendly, and happy to answer every question I had. And I had a TON of questions!! Their other two staff members, Breonna and Dr. Timmerman's dental assistant Tuba, couldn't have been more kind. I honestly can't say enough about how well the process went. Thank you Dr. Timmerman, Holly, Breonna, and Tuba. You really have changed everything for me!"
"I had to have a full mouth dental implant top and bottom plates. Dr. Timmerman took very good care of me and checked with me even after I got home. I was having trouble getting my pain under control, and he went out of his way and drove to his office and picked up a prescription and drove it to my pharmacy and personally dropped it off for me. I have never heard of anyone ever doing that for a patient. But that's the kind of doctor he is. There are no hidden fees. They make you feel like you're part of their family. I have been terrified of dentists my whole life since I was 8 years old — I am 60 now, and he made me feel like I was going in to get a professional makeup job done. He did such a good job at restoring my smile. I had missing teeth, I even had bone loss, but he made me look so good and feel so good about myself. I am on cloud nine right now and my kids keep saying, 'mama you have such a beautiful smile again.'"
"I had a very important visit to South Seattle Smiles today. Dr. Timmerman took a full mouth scan of my gums, tissues and implants. Everything went very smoothly and I am excited to see the results come back with my new set of full upper and lower dental implants. Holly was very kind and helpful making sure the lab receives everything they need."
"Dr. Timmerman was very competent during my procedure and took great care to not hurt me. He demonstrates very high skill level and can satisfy even the most difficult patient (like me) with a finished beautiful smile. He has taken my dentistry to a whole new level because he can offer me more services than my old dentist did — such as braces, implants, dentures, and a new better sleep device than my old CPAP unit. This place has great prices and high quality work."

It's the small moments. Saying yes to dinner because you can eat the steak. Smiling at your daughter's wedding without thinking about it. Laughing without covering your mouth. Three months in, most patients tell us they don't think about their teeth anymore.
That's the whole point.

Everything we hear in consults — answered openly, the way we'd answer in person.
Surgery is performed under local anesthesia, and IV sedation is included on every full-arch case — you'll feel deeply relaxed, and most patients have little or no memory of the procedure. If you'd rather be completely asleep, general anesthesia administered by a licensed CRNA is available as an optional add-on. Post-op discomfort is typically mild and managed with ibuprofen.
No. Your new teeth are permanently screwed into titanium implants that fuse to your jawbone. You don't take it out at night. You don't soak it. You brush and floss it like natural teeth. Once integrated, it stays put for life.
Often, yes. Many patients arrive after being told elsewhere they couldn't have implants — usually because of bone loss or long-term denture use. With 20+ years of implant experience and ICOI fellowship training, Dr. Timmerman is equipped for the rebuild work those cases need: bone grafting, soft-tissue grafting, sinus lifts, PRF, and zygomatic implants for severe upper-jaw bone loss. The only way to know for sure is a free 3D CT scan and consultation.
Single-arch pricing starts at $14,997 for acrylic All-On-X, $19,997 for polymer (PMMA), and $21,997 for full zirconia — all-inclusive (implants, extractions, bone grafts, prosthesis, IV sedation). We partner with Proceed Finance, Cherry, CareCredit, and LendingClub for plans from 3 to 84 months. Pre-qualification happens at your free consult.
Three separate visits, not one day. First: your free consult and 3D CT scan — often the same week you call. Surgery day is scheduled separately (typically a few weeks later) — that's when extractions and implant placement happen, and you walk out that day with fully-fixed teeth. 3–6 months after surgery, your final zirconia teeth are delivered once the implants have integrated.
Dr. Timmerman has been placing implants for 20+ years and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI) — one of the most respected implant-credentialing bodies. He performs every step of the implant placement himself in our Tukwila surgical suite — no outside referrals. That continuity matters: the same person who plans your case places your implants and follows your healing.
In most cases, dental insurance doesn't fully cover full-mouth implant work — that's an industry reality, not unique to us. Some plans contribute toward extractions, periodontal treatment, or imaging. The price we quote is the same with or without insurance — we don't inflate costs around it.
Implants are permanent surgery — bone you remove can't be put back, and a poorly-placed implant fails years later (usually after the warranty expires). Our pricing reflects the cost of an experienced implant-focused dentist personally planning and performing every case. You're paying for the surgeon, not the brand name.
We're at 7100 Fort Dent Way, Suite 270, Tukwila, WA 98188 — minutes off I-5, just south of downtown Seattle. Patients regularly come from Seattle, Renton, Burien, SeaTac, Kent, Federal Way, Des Moines, and out of state for advanced implant care.
Pressure to decide that day. "Starting at" prices that balloon once you're in the chair. Sub-contracted surgery, where the person who plans the case isn't the person who performs it. A trustworthy provider gives you the full number in writing and lets you walk away.
